Was reading hospi best friend's blog and came across this quote from "Facing the Giants." "If we win, we praise Him. If we lose, we praise Him." "Facing the Giants." Great piece of movie. It talks about a man. Everything was going wrong. But just a simple prayer. Everything was right again. Many a times we would face problems in our lives, problems that seem to be to huge to solve. But for how many of us, our first resort would be to turn to God? Or is it true that our first thought is always: give up. Giving up is a thought that have sometimes crossed my mind. But turning to God is always on my heart. If life is peaceful, how would we feel the power of God? Just like how Jesus calmed the sea when the disciples were all afraid that the ship would overturn. If the storm never came, would the disciples ever see how powerful God is? So, I believe, each tribulation and persecution, can be seen as another way to see God's power. Only then can we be brought up to a whole new level. Another level to know God better (: So... "If I win, I praise Him. If I lose, I praise Him." |
